Scarlett Johansson is an American actor and singer who was born in New York City, New York on November 22, 1984. Her performances have earned her acclaim across a wide range of genres including the genres of period dramas as well as action and thrillers. Johansson was the daughter of an architect and a producer was raised in New York City. Hunter, her twin sister, was also born in the City of New York. When she was a child, she developed a passion for acting and began performing in commercials by the age of seven. She was a performer since she was an infant. Thanks to the encouragement from her parents, Smith got her first acting gig when she was just six. On a TV commercial, she starred as Dannon Yogurt. As with most actresses getting started, to improve her abilities in the theatre. As she worked on other projects around the USA she also made her stage debut with Wildflower. She graduated from the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
